The Presidency has clarified the resumption of studies following the gradual relaxation of the lock.
President Buhari had ordered a gradual easing of isolation from next week but was silent on the reopening of schools.
However, Buhari spokeswoman Femi Adesina during her participation in TVC said schools could reopen for those who were about to take exams.
Adesina said that candidates about to pass the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and that other exams may be allowed to return to school.
"If you look at Germany, they have gradually reduced their lockdown by opening schools for those who have exams.
“It can be the same here, because those who have to pass the WAEC and take exams can be authorized to repeat their exams.
"The presidential task force will be the one to decide when to reopen," Adesina said on Tuesday.
